Sony HVL-F60RM2 Quick Shift GN60 Bounce Flash MI Shoe

The technical details behind this flash

Sony HVL-F60RM2 Quick Shift GN60 Bounce Flash MI Shoe offers remarkable features. It is designed to match the latest capabilities of Sony Alpha cameras. Noticeable increase to continuous flash performance. Redesigned metal shoe foot and increased dust and moisture resistance.

Intelligent communication maximises image quality

Camera controlled face detection

When used with a compatible camera, the balance between the light falling on the subject’s face and ambient light is taken into account to automatically adjust the white balance so that the subject’s face is rendered with natural, life-like colour.

Auto white balance accuracy

Colour temperature information is transferred from the flash unit to the camera, and the camera uses that information to precisely adjust the white balance.

Sync up to 1/400 sec. shutter with the α1

Flash sync up to 1/400th of a second makes it possible to reduce the depth of field while using flash to illuminate the main subject, or alternatively to illuminate moving subjects against a bright background.

Reliability even in harsh environments

Metal shoe foot with rugged side frame

The metal shoe with its reinforced side frame has been improved to offer greater resistance to frontal physical shock and impact. This also has the added benefit of protecting the unit’s electrical contacts.

Improved shoe sealing boosts weather resistance

The structure for the HVL-F60RM2 and HVL-F46RM is specifically designed to prevent dust and moisture ingress providing greater weather resistance and reliability when paired with certain camera bodies.
