Overview

The BT-7 was a highly-manoeuvreable Soviet "fast tank" that formed the pillar of the Red Army's armoured divisions in the pre-war years. Equipped with a 47mm main gun, it was one of the better-armed tanks of that period. The tank featured sloped frontal armor, and the 1937 model's turret also featured sloped armor — a design innovation that would be a direct influence on its legendary successor, the T-34. This 1/35 scale kit from Tamiya is a detailed replica of the influential BT-7 Model 1937. The model features a highly realistic recreation of the tank's sloped armour and large Christie-style road wheels. It includes premium details such as photo-etched parts and a metal tow cable, user-friendly assembly-type tracks with realistic sag, two crew figures, and three different marking options.

Features

• The kit includes two figures: an officer and a tank commander in realistic poses
• Photo-etched parts for fine details and a metal tow cable are provided for enhanced realism
• Assembly-type tracks with one-piece straight sections allow for easy construction and a realistic 'sag' effect
• The complex Christie suspension is recreated with a small number of parts without sacrificing accuracy
• Three different marking options are included for various vehicles
• The double-panel hull is accurately constructed
• The sloped frontal armour and the sloped turret armour of the 1937 model are faithfully reproduced
