Overview

The M1 Abrams has been a long-serving and dominant main battle tank for the U.S. armed forces. The M1A2 version, first fielded in 1992, was a major upgrade, featuring a powerful 120mm smoothbore gun and the latest electronics, including the Commander's Independent Thermal Viewer (CITV). This highly efficient fighting machine saw extensive service in the Iraq War from 2003.

This 1/35 scale kit from Tamiya is a detailed replica that allows you to build the Abrams in its Operation Iraqi Freedom configuration. The kit is highly versatile, with optional parts to build either the M1A2 or its predecessor, the M1A1HA, including a U.S. Marines version. It comes packed with accessories like Combat Identification Panels (CIPs), two crew figures, an unexpected but charming dog figure, and five different marking options.
