Overview

The M8 Howitzer Motor Carriage was the first standardized self-propelled howitzer to equip the U.S. Army in World War II. Combining the agile M5 light tank chassis with a powerful 75mm howitzer in an open-topped turret, it provided vital and mobile fire support to infantry and armoured units from mid-1943 in the Italian, European, and Pacific Theaters.

This classic 1/35 scale kit from Tamiya is a complete diorama set, capturing a crew "awaiting orders." The model features a richly detailed open-topped turret and an accurately depicted suspension. The highlight of this set is the inclusion of three figures—a commander, gunner, and loader—moulded in relaxed, realistic poses, allowing you to create a simple and atmospheric diorama straight from the box.
