About this product
There’s a spark every time Mike Nock and Leah Berry make music together. What began as a simple message — Leah sharing lyrics she’d written to Nock’s The Gift — became something much larger: an unfolding collaboration built on instinct, trust, and deep listening.
An invitation to join him on stage led to a chance moment, drummer Laurence Pike in the audience, hearing enough to set the next step in motion, a live performance at the InnerWestJazzFestival. Soon after, in a rush of creative energy, Berry wrote lyrics to a further seven of Nock’s compositions. They went straight to the studio. Joined by bassist Jonathan Zwartz, and drummer Laurence Pike
Tracked by Brent Clark Mixed and mastered by Grammy award winning Helik Hadar. Produced by Jonathan Zwartz. 'The Gift' is the result.
