Massachusetts' metalcore progenitors, Unearth aren't merely standard bearers of the sort of melodious sonic extremes that have found them sharing stages with the likes of Killswitch Engage, Hatebreed or Lamb of God.
With 'The Wretched; The Ruinous', Unearth exceed themselves, notching up the breakdowns, speed and brutality on songs like the album's anthemic title track, the incendiary 'Cremation of the Living' or the bulldozing 'Eradicator'.
Produced and mixed by Will Putney (Body Count, Thy Art is Murder), Unearth's eighth full-length proves why these Bay State bruisers are here to stay.
