In 2011, Alice Cooper opened the door once again to the strange and shadowy world of Steven. Welcome 2 My Nightmare picks up the thread of the legendary 1975 concept album and twists it into something fresh.
The record mixes a sense of familiarity with a modern edge, helped along by an impressive cast. Desmond Child brings his unmistakable songwriting touch, Ke$ha adds a surprising spark, and original band members Michael Bruce, Dennis Dunaway and Neal Smith return to give the songs that unmistakable seventies feel.
Now the album is coming back in a newly mastered edition. Both formats are coming with seven bonus tracks, including live recordings of “Poison” and “No More Mr Nice Guy” captured at the Download Festival. A strong addition for collectors and a clear highlight for fans who want more than the standard album.
Alice Cooper has never been just another rock musician. He is part of rock history. And even after more than five decades, the nightmare continues, exactly the way fans want it.
